The Physics of Angels
BY RUPERT SHELDRAKE AND MATTHEW FOX
I had a “dream” two years in a row, at 3:00 am of Christmas morning when I distinctly heard a voice say, “Libby, how do the reindeer fly?”
The first time it was just a question, but the next year, she was quite clear that it was my job to answer this question! Why, I’m sure I’ll never know, but I got the message it was my job to find the answer.
As I started to think about this question, I knew I needed to do some serious research. Thankfully, I came across a book called The Physics of Angels by Rupert Sheldrake and Matthew Fox.
It is a fascinating book where they share about the writings of three theologians from the Middle Ages, each of whom had written extensively about angels. These three people (St. Thomas Aquinas, Hildegard of Bingen, and Dionysius the Areopagite) laid the groundwork for what became known as Angelology – or the study of Angels.
